    CMPJ was disturbed to learn of an Islamophobic attack that occurred in Calgary on May 30, 2021. A woman and her son were verbally and physically attacked. The woman had her hijab pulled. There has been a worrying increase in Islamophobic attacks across Alberta. Just a few days ago, a man was targeted in his car.     Unmarked Grave at the Former Kamloops Residential School

    This weekend, the bodies of 215 children were found in an unmarked grave at the former Kamloops Residential School. The discovery is heartbreaking and devestating. Thousands of Indigenous children were taken from their parents and subjected to the horrors of Residential Schools.
