Foreign Interventions in the Greater Middle East - Lessons and Impacts

    Dec 03,2022

Red & White Club, Calgary Alberta

The human, physical, material and psycho-emotional damage of wars in the Middle East have significantly influenced the people and lands of these countries. Moreover, militant non-state responses have negatively impacted the image of Islam and Muslims around the globe. In Canada, there has been a rise in Islamophobia, hate crimes against  Canadian  Muslims, and discrimination at work. It is in the interest of all Canadians to understand the global impacts of war and conflict for social cohesion among diverse communities to build an inclusive Canadian society. This conference will focus on the impacts of conflict and lessons to be learned moving forward
